Ultimate Chocolate Milkshake

Description:

Tim had oral surgery today. He is without a front tooth. Quite a sight. He is on cold soft foods for today, and only interested in chocolate milkshakes. Three of them, to be exact. I put this one up against the Wayback burger blender shake, and faired well. This is a win, because when it comes to his sweets, he's stuck in his ways. The features he liked in the Wayback one were the "crystals" ? And the chocolate chunks. This had both, but only because I couldn't find chocolate sorbet, so I used a double chocolate (dark chocolate) gelato. It had the chunks.

Ingredients:

3 cups vanilla ice cream, cut into large chunks
2 tablespoons hot fudge sauce, at room temperature
½ cup whole milk
1 ½ cups chocolate sorbet, cut into large chunks

Directions:

Soften the ice cream and sorbet at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping. If your hot fudge sauce is refrigerated, microwave 2 tablespoons in a small dish for 5 seconds. This recipe is easily halved.
Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender and puree until smooth, scraping down sides as needed. Pour into chilled glasses. Serve.

Notes:

Don't forget to chill the glasses!
