Scalloped Oysters

Deborah Wirrick found this recipe book written out by her folks.

_Why on earth Mom made Oysters on Thanksgiving I'll never know. Maybe it was a treat in her family - a real luxury in their usual Midwest farm fare. I did like this dish - most people take a pass when there is turkey & stuffing on the table.

Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 jars Cove oysters
  • Crushed soda Crackers

Directions

Crush soda crackers with a rolling pin. Put in casserole dish. Mix in oysters & juice. Add mix (I think she means crackers) until quite wet - actually soaking. Pepper generously and put in oven until brown on top.
